November 14 - volunteer work weekend: shop foundation - 10:00 AM. Second Saturday Music at Highland -1:00 to 3:00 PM

October 24 - Students from a local school Portland school volunteered at Highland Farm, experiencing first hand stewardship learning while fencing, clearing fallen branches, gardening and milking goats. Thank you!October 3-4 - volunteer work weekend - building a goat feeding rack at Highland Farm

October 23- Medicine bag workshop. Students from a local Portland Waldorf school learned about medicine bags and amulet bags--traditions in different cultures of wearing a special necklace pouch filled with special objects signifying personal power and remembrance. They designed and made unique and personal medicine bags from deer, elk and cow leather.October 10-11 - volunteer work weekend: Second Saturday Music at Highland

October 17-18 - volunteer work weekend: fences make good neighbors. - Highland Farm

October 14 - Talk on odenata, the dragonfly tribe with Celiste Mazzacano of the Xerces Society -Cold Spring
